HCPL-0601-500E: Application Field and Working Principle
Optoisolators are voltage isolation devices with electrical and optical signal inputs and outputs. They are built up from a light emitting diode (LED) and a phototransistor. Due to the phototransistor’s isolation capability, optoisolators increase the level of safety when integrated into sensitive systems. This article will discuss the application field and working principle of the HCPL-0601-500E optoisolator, which is categorized as a logic output device.The HCPL-0601-500E is designed with CMOS Schmitt-trigger input logic and an open-collector NPN output transistor.
