HDSM-281H Application Field and Working Principle

The HDSM-281H is a part of the modular display products from Optoelectronic Inc, which is in the segment of display modules - LED character and numeric. It is a very high performance and general purpose display module which includes inbuilt decimal points, seven dual pointer segments, annunciator and circular multi-purpose electrodes.

It also supports two types of shift register modes, shift REG FA and RESET BC. This logic circuit is combined with the driving IC to achieve 4 display functions.The module includes a total of 36 LED segments: 7 circular electrodes, 27 characters composed of 7 dual pointer segments and annunciator, and also has a clear display lens that maximizes contrast and visibility of the display characters.

Operating Principle

The operation of the HDSM-281H module is relatively straightforward and relies on logic circuits, LEDs and an IC driver.The logic circuit of the HDSM-281H is designed to support two different modes: parallel mode and shift register mode. In the parallel mode, all LEDs are turned on or off with their corresponding logic levels, while in the shift register mode, all LEDs are turned on or off with their corresponding shift register levels.The LEDs of the HDSM-281H are controlled by its integrated IC driver, which receives data via the logic circuit. The IC drivers convert the logic signal received from the logic circuit into signals compatible with the LEDs.
