Introduction
The HIN202EIBNZ-T7A is a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) transceiver, providing an integral solution for those applications requiring the high data rate and the low power consumption of LVDS. This highly integrated, single device combines dual channels of low voltage LVDS receivers and and dual channels of low voltage LVDS drivers into a single package which can support transmission rates of up to 800 Mb/s.
Application Field
HIN202EIBNZ-T7A LVDS transceivers offer superior performance for data transmission at rates up to 800 Mbps over short distances at a very low power consumption. They are typically used in high speed digital video transmission, graphic display, and digital data transport such as High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) 1.0,1.1,1.2, Transmission Control Protocol over Ethernet (TCP/IP), Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel, Laser, and Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs). Furthermore, they are also suitable for high speed serial data interconnect applications such as audio, video and other multimedia applications.
HIN202EIBNZ-T7A is extremely suitable for automotive Application Under Hood (AUH), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automotive Infotainment systems. It also provide a robust, reliable and comprehensive solution for preventing high data rate signals were degraded due to Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI), are consequently provide a better signal quality and error free data transmission.
Working Principle
The HIN202EIBNZ-T7A is comprised of dual LVDS receivers, dual LVDS drivers, and a pair of outputs in a single package with a typical power consumption of only 300mWatts. Its maximum supply voltage is 5.5V with good electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). It accepts two differential input signals, LVTTL-compatible logic signals, or any combination of the two. The outputs can be in either single-ended or differential signaling mode. The receivers have selectable input thresholds to allow for the use of either LVPECL, LVDS,SSTL, or CML inputs.
The dual LVDS receivers and dual LVDS drivers bitstream can be sent or received on a single line. The LVDS drivers have single-ended outputs that can be clocked up to 800MHz and the LVDS receivers are set for 400MHz operation. The receivers have adjustable input thresholds and the drivers have adjustable output swings for optimum performance for a wide variety of signal types. The receiver outputs are TTL-compatible, with the reception clearly visible at the receiver end.
The HIN202EIBNZ-T7A uses double-ended data transmission between transmitters and receivers. The double-ended data transmission is done through differential pair of wires which drive two complementary signals. The amplifier in the transmitter will modulate the current to match the signal sent by the source, while the amplifier in the receiver will amplify the current to match the signal received. This allows the signals to be sent at higher data rates allowing more information to be sent in a given time. The double-ended transmission is more resistant to noise due to its increased resistance to electromagnetic interference. This ensures much better signal quality for data transmission.
