Working Principle

The HLMP-CM37-X1000 is a low power LED used for discrete LED indication. It consists of a Light Emitting Element – the Diode and Circuits or Logic Circuits. The diode acts as a switch, which is controlled by the circuits or logic circuits. When the logic circuits apply a voltage to the diode, the Diode will let the current pass and thus light up, indicating the state that is programmed in the circuits. The diode can be turned off by simply reversing the voltage.

The HLMP-CM37-X1000 is designed to use low current, typically 3mA to 35mA. The average luminous intensity of this LED ranges from 12mcd to 110mcd which makes it suitable for discrete LED application. It comes in four different packages - Flat, Gull Wing SMT, Right Angle and Right Angle. This allows customers to choose the appropriate package according to their requirements.
