It is composed of two anodes (positive polarity pins) and two cathodes (negative polarity pins). Each anode has a single, common cathode. The two colors are switchable via two independent current modes. When two separate current modes are connected to the two leads, red and green light will be illuminated, making it suitable for signaling and decoration applications.The working principle of the HLMP3315 is simple. When it is powered with electricity, electrons flow through its leads from cathode to anode and are then converted into light emission in the LED chips. The current of the LED must follow the forward direction in order to make sure that the LEDs remain in a constant state of emission.When used for higher current applications, the HLMP3315 can be connected in parallel for maximum output. When used for low current applications, the LED can be connected in series in order to reduce power consumption.
