Working principle

The HLMP-P502 discrete LED indicator is powered by a 5V DC voltage. The user can program on and off intervals by connecting pin #1 and #2 together via a constant current source. When pin #1 is connected to a high voltage, it sends a signal to the momentary switch which causes the LED to light up. The LED will stay illuminated until pin #1 is disconnected from the power source. The LED will enter into an idle state and will remain in this state until the pin #1 is connected to the high voltage again.
