Type A consists of fully shrouded contacts that are locked into a plastic housing and provide protection from accidental detachment. Type B consists of open contacts that require the addition of a fastening element to hold the flexible flat cable in place. Type C provides a non-locking mating design for applications that require faster mating cycles and used in conjunction with protruding FPC Tab style which provides more secure connections.The HLW12S-2C7LF FFC/FPC connectors are designed for board-to-board, board-to-cable, and cable-to-cable configurations. Each connector offers an industry-standard configuration of 12 positions with 0.50mm width. The robustness of the connection is achieved with the 30 N retention force, which is significantly higher than similar competitors and creates a reliable and secure connection. The temperature range is between -40°C and +105°C with a current rating of 0.5A.
