The HMC451LP3TR is a wideband gallium arsenide (GaAs) amplifier, with a power gain of 16 dB, with a minimum noise figure of 3.5 dB. It also displays excellent linearity, and wide dynamic range. This amplifier can operate from low to high frequency range, covering frequencies from DC up to 6.6 GHz, with voltage supply from -11.5 V to 3.3 V. It is ideally suited for applications such as broadband receiver amplifier, microwave booster amplifier, broadband amplifier, fiber optic receiver amplifier, and more.The HMC451LP3TR is a three stage monolithic amplifier, consisting of one balanced differential input stage, one power buffer amplifier stage and one buffer amplifier stage. The balanced differential design of the amplifier minimizes noise figure and provides a uniform linear gain. The power buffer amplifier stage is a source-follower stage, with its output connected directly to the input of the buffer amplifier stage, effectively separating the input from the output. This enables a flat gain response from DC to the upper frequency limit of the amplifier.The HMC451LP3TR employs a proprietary breaking process, using a microstrip network with an open topology. This process makes the entire board less susceptible to EMI/RFI radiation. It also improves the thermal performance of the amplifier, by providing a more uniform distribution of heat.The amplifier features a wide range of features, such as a very low input voltage noise, a wide dynamic range, and excellent linearity. In most applications, the amplifier will provide a gain of 16 dB up to the cutoff frequency of 6.6 GHz. It is important to note that the amplifier is capable of achieving a much higher gain above 6.6 GHz, provided that the signal level is lowered.The HMC451LP3TR is an ideal amplifier for use in applications such as receivers, fiber optics, microwave systems, receivers, or signal boosting applications.
