The HMC566-SX is an inexpensive, low power, high linearity RF amplifier designed primarily for upstream CATV, Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-C) applications. The amplifier is offered in a 3x3mm 24-LFCSP package with an integrated LNAs, matching networks, and protective circuitry. Its compact form factor makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of application in both consumer electronics and instrumentation applications.
The HMC566-SX is based on a dual balanced gain stage topology with a unity-gain differential input, a differential output, and differential gain control of up to 10dB. The device provides a typical gain of 15dB in a frequency range of 5-1000MHz with a S11 of typically -21.5dB. Input and output impedance of the amplifier are 75 Ω and the device has an IP3 of typically +37dBm for an input power of +5 dBm.
