The HMC642ALC5 is a RF Miscellaneous ICs and Modules that offers a wide range of applications and excellent working principles. This integrated chip is an ideal device for high frequency and multi-mode applications. HMC642ALC5 is an RF mixer with a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that supports up to 5GHz of operation (the frequency range can be extended up to 10 GHz with external components). This chip also features an internal high-speed low-noise amplifier (LNA) that provides another level of signal isolation. It also has an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) which results in extremely low phase noise and low harmonic distortion.
HMC642ALC5 can be used in a variety of radio frequency (RF) applications that require fast switching and high linearity. It is typically used in: wireless communication systems, WiMAX broadband access and many others. The HMC642ALC5 is also ideal for TDD systems which require simultaneous transmission and reception with highly efficient transmit and receive switching performance. This IC is also suitable for Bluetooth, 802.11 applications, and digital modulation schemes such as OFDM.
The HMC642ALC5 has excellent linearity which ensures that signal levels can be controlled uniformly. The wide linear range of the RF mixer means that high levels of signal compression can be achieved, making it ideal for applications that require a high degree of accuracy such as cellular base stations and radio navigation systems. The mixer also features a wide dynamic range (up to 82dBm typical) which makes it suitable for mobile applications where high levels of intermodulation products can be generated.
The HMC642ALC5 is a versatile IC that provides excellent RF performance for a variety of applications. It features an internally matched high linear noise figure, high dynamic range and wide linear range of the RF mixer enables higher levels of signal compression.
