The HMR2300-D21-485-DEMO is a compact, low-cost and easy-to-use evaluation board, designed to evaluate the performance of the HMR2300 Digital Angle Sensor with RS485 and digital encoder output. HMR2300-D21-485-DEMO can be used as a versatile solution for position measurements requiring high resolution and fast sampling rates. The Angle Sensor Transducer (AST) module integrates a Hall Effect magnetic sensor IC, a temperature compensation circuit, and some additional circuitry for filtering and linearization. The ASIC outputs an analog voltage that is proportional to the angular/rotational position. This output voltage is then converted into a digital signal by the on-board A/D converter with a resolution of 14 bits.

The evaluation board supports up to two communication protocols. The Serial Communications Interface (SCI) supports up to 115200 baud, while the Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) interface supports up to 400kHz. Additionally, the evaluation board contains a 9-pin RS485 connector allowing the data to be transmitted to a remote device or system.
