Chassis Mount Resistors:HSC2002R2J is an in-line chassis mount resistor, specifically optimized for automotive applications. This product is an ideal solution for many industrial and automotive applications such as the automotive HVAC systems, electric power steering systems and transmission control systems. HSC2002R2J Application Field HSC2002R2J chassis mount resistors are designed to be mounted directly on a vehicle\'s chassis, or frame, to provide a reliable and efficient EMI/RFI filtering solution. The product features an excellent power rating up to 500W, wide operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C, and high current capability from 1A to 10A. It also has excellent abrasion resistant characteristics, excellent EMI/RFI filtering characteristics and superior mechanical strength. The product also offers enhanced thermal capability with multiple fins applied to the heat plate.HSC2002R2J Working PrincipleHSC2002R2J chassis mount resistors work by converting electrical energy into heat energy through an internal resistor element. The resistor element can be connected directly to the chassis, frame or body of the vehicle. When connected to a power source, an electric current is generated which then passes through the resistor element, creating heat energy and causing the heat plate to heat up. The resistor includes additional fins on the heat plate, which helps to improve the thermal performance of the resistor, ensuring it can handle heavier power loads without overheating. Once the resistor has reached its maximum rated temperature, the current is automatically circuit-interrupted and the resistor shuts off.The HSC2002R2J chassis mount resistor is a highly efficient and reliable solution for many in-vehicle applications. Its wide operating temperature range, excellent current capability, and EMI/RFI filtering characteristics make it the ideal solution for most automotive, industrial, and heavy-duty applications.
