HSMQ-C177 is a self-contained, state-of-the-art, discrete LED Indicator designed for use in demanding applications. The device has an integrated high power driver circuit, and can be used to clearly indicate the status of a circuit, or as a warning or alarm indicator. It is available in a variety of shapes and sizes, and is fully customisable to meet the needs of a given application.The device is composed of several elements. It includes an LED chip, a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, a heat sink and a metal enclosure. The PCB assembly features an integrated driver circuit and an external power source, which is used to power the LED indicator. The heat sink dissipates heat generated by the LED chip, and the metal enclosure serves to protect the device from dust and moisture.The LED chip is the heart of the device and determines the characteristics of the LED indicator, including the colour and shape. The LED chip is composed of a substrate, a die and a phosphorescence material. The die is the active layer and is the source of the emission. It is composed of several layers of semiconductor materials, including an N-type layer, a P-type layer, and a depletion layer. The N-type layer is doped with a p-type dopant which creates an N-side region. The P-type layer contains a n-type dopant which creates a P-side region. The depletion layer is located between the N-side region and the P-side region and is used to control the electrons generated by the light emitting diode.The basic working principle of the HSMQ-C177 is relatively simple.
