LED Drivers are electronic circuits that control the amount of current that flows through an LED or group of LEDs. HVGC-65-500A is a High Voltage Generator Constant Current LED Driver. It is a constant current source circuit that can drive high power LEDs with greater than 500mA of total current.

HVGC-65-500A is originally designed for LED applications that require constant current operation, and can drive up to 1.8W of LEDs. Due to its high current capability, other applications that utilize this LED Driver can include driving DC motors, pumps, and solenoids, etc.

This High Voltage Generator Constant Current LED Driver converts the input voltage of AC85~265V to a stable DC output current, which is beneficial due to the high efficiency and low output ripple current. The input rectifier circuit uses a MOSFET for its switching power supply, and the output uses a linear stabilizer IC to provide stable and constant current output.

The internal switch chip can provide a constant current with a limit value, which stabilizes the output by driving the LED with a stable current throughout operating conditions. The current can be adjustable, and the default current is 500mA. When the LED current reaches 500mA, the current is limited to protect the LED from getting damaged due to over current.
