HXS 20-NP/SP2 Application Field and Working Principle

Current Transducers

HXS 20-NP/SP2 is a current transducer and it is widely used in all types of applications requiring precise current measurement over the range of DC to kHz frequencies. It helps to establish contact between an electric circuit and the measuring instrument, enabling the measurement of the current without any interference with the electric circuit. The device can measure both AC and DC currents, with excellent accuracy, making it suitable for both commercial and industrial applications.

The working principle of the HXS 20-NP/SP2 current transducer is based on the magnetic field principle. The device consists of a coil which is connected to the circuit to be measured, and the output is connected to a measuring instrument. The main element of the device is the sensing core which consists of two coils wound around each other. These two coils are wound in opposite directions, and when electric current passes through one coil, it creates a magnetic field which induces an electric current in the other coil.

The two coils generate a sine wave of voltage that is proportional to the current flowing through the circuit.
