The ICS307G-03T can produce clock signals based on an external fundamental frequency, or crystal, or an external reference clock, with an internal programmable divide-by mode. This enables customers to customize the output clock frequency to match the system clock requirements by programming the divide-by mode. The ICS307G-03T includes an integrated tracking voltage-controller loop (VCO) that allows users to adjust the frequency to customize the output clock frequency to match their system clock requirements.

When operating in the frequency range of 10-100 MHz, the ICS307G-03T requires only the addition of an external crystal to generate the desired clock frequency. When the frequency range is above 100 MHz, an external reference clock (e.g. 2M, 40M or 100M) is used to generate the clock frequency. In both cases, the user can configure the output clock frequency by setting the divide-by mode, which is programmed via the I2C interface.

The ICS307G-03T also features an output enable/disable control, which can be used to enable and disable the clock outputs for either individual outputs or for all outputs simultaneously. This feature allows users to switch between multiple clock frequencies or to temporarily disable certain outputs in order to save power.
