Ics960010aflft is a versatile, low-power clock and timing device designed to meet the performance, accuracy and cost requirements of the application-specific clock and timing market. The device is an easy to use, single package integration that provides a complete, highly reliable, low-power, and low-cost timing solution. Ics960010aflft features an integrated fractional-N or integer-N phase locked loop (PLL), dual output drivers, and integrated temperature compensation circuitry.The device is designed using a proven architecture optimized for digital phase locked loop performance. The clock generator uses the latest CMOS process, offering low phase noise, low jitter and high frequency stability, while consuming very low power. It is available in 2.5V and 3.3V versions and is rated for clock frequencies up to 8GHz.Ics960010aflft is designed for a wide range of applications including mobile and wireless communication, wireless local area networks (WLAN), personal computer (PC) motherboards, clock-and-data recovery, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, photonic applications, frequency synthesis and synchronous sampling systems.
The two outputs of Ics960010aflft can drive both HCSL or LVPECL load types. Both outputs can output frequency up to 8GHz, with a divide range of 4:1 to 4095:1. The PLL can support fractional-N and integer-N modes of operation, enabling it to generate very accurate and stable clock outputs. The chip also integrates several dedicated control and biasing functions, including the ability to generate spread-spectrum clocks for EMI reduction.The PLL in Ics960010aflft uses a low-noise charge pump and loop filter to generate a feedback signal for the loop. The loop filter is designed for low noise and fast transient response, providing high dynamic range and good phase noise performance.
