IDT23S09-1HDC is a family of high-speed, low-power phase-locked loop clock and data recovery devices that are used as interface and buffer between real-world data and signal-processing/transport compoents. This clock and data recovery (CDR) family is suitable for any critical system design requiring low jitter in the signal generation, buffer, and transport stages. The IDT23S09-1HDC family of products are available in a wide variety of applications, and are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.The IDT23S09-1HDC is based on phase-locked loop (PLL) technology. This device uses a fractional-N phase-locked loop and a look-up table design to provide excellent phase and frequency matching capability. The device includes clock and data recovery from baseband to very high frequency (GHz) data streams and is capable of supporting any data rate from 1 to 2,500 Mbps. The device is also capable of generating differential or single-ended clock outputs with very low jitter (as low as 200fs).The IDT23S09-1HDC operates in two primary modes: Data Acquire (ACQ) and Data Retain (RET). In ACQ mode, the data is captured from the input data stream, and the integrated voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is locked to the data rate. In RET mode, the data is placed in a local buffer and the device can lock onto the frequency of the incoming data stream.
