DC to DC converters are used to efficiently control the power levels and transfer energy from one DC source to another. The IE1215S is a high efficiency, non-isolated DC to DC Step-Down converter. This type of converter is ideal for a wide variety of applications, including distributed power systems, renewable energy, computer power supplies, battery supply, LED lighting and industrial automation.

The IE1215S features a wide input range of 8.5V to 24V, and has the capability to generate adjustable output voltages from 2.5V to 20V. With a maximum output current of 15A and conversion efficiency up to 95 percent, it provides an ideal solution for the ever-growing demand for higher power output in lower power architectures.

The IE1215S employs a synchronous rectification technique in order to minimize power dissipation and contains an internal switch that provides short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown. It also features active current limiting and over-current protection, as well as soft-start and over-voltage protection.
