Inductors are electronic components in which an electric current creates a magnetic field. The IHD3BH330L is a power inductor that is typically used in applications such as voltage regulation modules, high frequency filters, and power converters. It offers up to 20A current capacity, efficient performance with low DC resistance, and a maximum operating temperature of up to 125°C. It offers excellent common mode noise suppression, and is compliant with the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standard. The IHD3BH330L inductor has a rectangular block-design and is made up of two parts, one of which has a winding and a core, and the other has a wire winding.

The working principle of this inductor is quite simple. When an alternating current passes through the coil, the magnetic field generated in the core creates an electromotive force. This voltage is in phase with the current, and is equal to the product of the inductance and the time rate of change of current. This electromotive force is opposite to the applied potential, and is called the counter-electromotive force, or counter-emf. This counter-emf, in turn, acts to oppose the flow of electric current, thereby creating an inductor. The inductance of an inductor is the ratio between the counter-emf and the current passing through the coil.
