The IJBEB2 evaluation board is an evaluation board designed specifically for testing the performance of both DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS (switched mode power supplies). With the IJBEB2, designers can quickly and accurately evaluate a wide variety of SMPS designs, all by using a single board.
DC/DC SMPS are electronic circuits that take in DC power at one voltage level and output a different, usually higher, DC voltage level. This is done by controlling the power MOSFET (metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor) switch which regulates the input and output voltage and current.
