Optoisolators, or optocouplers, are devices which provide electrical isolation between two circuits, commonly referred to as the input circuit and the output circuit. The IL202-X001 optoisolator utilises an optically isolated transistor output to provide electrical isolation between these two circuits.

The IL202-X001 is a 5-pin optocoupler which is widely used in a variety of applications such as signal transmitters, line receivers and motor control. The optocoupler consists of a light emitting diode (LED) and a transistor contained within a single package.
