The ILQ1-X009T optoisolators are transistor-photovoltaic output optoisolators, allowing control and signal isolation between digital/analog circuits. The optoisolator provides galvanic isolation of up to 3kV; allowing reliable isolation of the signal even in a highly electrically noisy and/or hazardous environment. It has a Darlington output transistor, capable of driving higher loads. Generally, it is used in logic-level switch applications to allow the isolation of power for a secondary circuit.
Optoisolators, or optocouplers, are a safety device used to electrically isolate two separate circuits with the use of light.
