The output of this first op-amp is used to feed a second op-amp configured as a level shift amplifier. The output of the second op-amp is used to drive the third op-amp configured as a unity gain amplifier. This architecture allows the amplifier to achieve low offset voltage and low noise performance, while simultaneously providing the high common-mode rejection ratio needed for high-accuracy applications.

In order to achieve its high linearity performance, the INA131AP-1 uses a high-speed, low-bias current-sense preamplifier. The preamplifier has high input impedance and low output impedance, and also provides an adjustable bandwidth (100kHz to 1MHz), as well as a high input voltage range. The preamplifier also provides a low-voltage linearization feature, which eliminates distortion in the amplifier output by matching the input impedance of the device to the load impedance.

The INA131AP-1 also includes a precision, temperature-stable common-mode feedback loop, which enables the amplifier to achieve an extremely low offset voltage.
