The INA217AIDWT is a single-channel, very low power, rail-to-rail output CMOS operational amplifier designed specifically for battery-powered applications. It offers industry leading power dissipation and wide operating voltage ranges (1.2V to 5.5V). The device operates from a single power supply, either a battery or an externally generated supply. The device requires a low quiescent static current of 1.0 mA with a low voltage dropout of only 0.4V over the operating voltage range.
The INA217AIDWT is designed to provide full-scale gain in the bulk power, communication and instrumentation areas. With an input common-mode voltage range of 0.2V to VDD, excellent AC performance, integrated ESD protection, low quiescent current and low cost, the INA217AIDWT devices are perfect for use in audio amplifiers, battery powered hand-held systems, automatic meter reading (AMR), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, process control systems, portable data acquisition systems, automotive applications and wireless networks.
The INA217AIDWT can also be used as a voltage-controlled amplifier to drive high current loads, or as a voltage-to-current converter for driving a controlled load. In addition, the INA217AIDWT offers excellent input common-mode rejection, high gain bandwidth and wide supply voltage ranges, making it suitable for a variety of analog applications.
The INA217AIDWT has excellent temperature stability and is designed to operate over a wide temperature range (-40°C to +125°C). Its integrated ESD protection and thermal shutdown functions also offer protection against electrical and thermal damage. The INA217AIDWT provides zero-drift amplifier technology for Instrumentation and measurement applications. Its zero-drift architecture with an internal bias and advanced offset cancellation techniques allow it to produce a low distortion output signal with very low DC offset over a wide temperature range. Additionally, the device incorporates an amplifier with a high open-loop gain and a low output offset voltage. This feature makes it well suited for high-precision AC test and measurement applications such as signal analyzers, digital volumal pressure meters, sound level meters, and sound frequency analyzers.
The INA217AIDWT is ideal for use as an operational amplifier and is designed to buffer or amplify signals. It is also well suited for providing high impedance buffering and isolation.
