IPT1-103-01-S-D-RA rectangular connectors, commonly referred to as headers, are widely used in various types of applications and typically consist of a male pin and female receptacle. The male pin, or header, fits inside the female receptacle and can be secured with a variety of cufflinks such as crimp, locking tabs, grub screws, and solder. The IPT1-103-01-S-D-RA header is a low profile dual row, Tin-over-Nickel plated on the contact surfaces with a mating clearance of 0.500” (12.7 mm). It has a minimum-rows of 10 and a maximum rows of 40 with a standard density of 0.100"(2.54mm).

The IPT1-103-01-S-D-RA headers are commonly used in the industrial and instrumentation fields for applications such as making electrical contact between circuit boards, connecting multiple boards to a single board, or acting as a feed-through connector. In these applications, the headers provide electrical connections between different boards in a secure and leak-proof manner. Furthermore, this header provides multiple layers of protection against EMI/RFI and can ensure that signals remain intact over long distances.

The IPT1-103-01-S-D-RA headers utilize a mated and locked configuration to ensure the highest electrical connection reliability. The tin-over-nickel plating ensures that the contacts remain corrosion-resistant over time and prevents intermittent connections caused by oxidation and contamination. Additionally, the plating also improves current and voltage carrying capabilities by reducing electrical resistance and improving heat dissipation.

IPT1-103-01-S-D-RA headers also feature excellent electrical insulation to prevent short-circuits and reduce radio frequency (RF) leakage. This insulation, combined with the tin-over-nickel plating, allows for a secure connection that is not affected by moisture or dust.
