IQS266-0-QNR is a touch-sensing device which is a self-capacitance type capacitive sensing solution, enabling user-interfaces to detect the presence and location of objects on the surface of the device. It is designed to provide a low power solution with optimal power savings along with a high resolving accuracy. IQS266-0-QNR consists of an array of self-capacitance sensing elements, making it ideal for standalone applications, or for higher level systems such as point-and-click gui applications.
The IQS266-0-QNR capacitive touch sensing system includes a transceiver, touch finger model (TFM), and receiver unit. The transceiver unit is the main sensing element, scanning the touch area of the device to detect touch events. The transceiver is also responsible for generating reference capacitance values during the scanning process. The TFM unit contains a small array of self-capacitance (or “finger”) cells that are used to detect the presence of a finger, and then locate its exact coordinates. The receiver unit is responsible for receiving signals from the touch area, and then relaying them to a controller unit for further processing.
