The IRS2092C application is a linear integrated circuit that is designed to drive up to four channels of audio power. It is one of the first such devices to incorporate a patented, easily adjustable system that automatically adjusts the gain of each channel and reduces the distortion. This makes the IRS2092C ideal for use in small audio amplifiers, active loudspeakers and small home theater systems.

The IRS2092C integrated circuit includes an internal MOSFET power module, protected by over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature conditions. The IRS2092C also includes a start-up circuit that prevents sudden overloads and false starts. This protection circuit discharges the startup current when the amplifier is powered down, preventing shorts and overloads. Additionally, this start-up circuit is protected against inrush current, which can cause excessive acoustic noise before the amplifier is turned on.

The IRS2092C also features an on-chip dynamic power control. This control allows for increased power efficiency and improved stability for both the power section and the output stages. This dynamic power control system is also protected from short circuits, over-current and short-term overload conditions.

Finally, the IRS2092C is packed with many advanced features that allow for simplified and accurate adjustment of sound levels for both stereo and mono sound systems. It also is equipped with a dimmable output stage, that when a low or medium level signal is heard, the output power level is automatically reduced to a minimum level to conserve power and reduce distortion levels.
