ISL28230FUZ is a high precision, low cost, rail-to-rail, single- and dual- channel automated test equipment (ATE) amplifier with a wide operating temperature range -40°C to +85°C. It is also suitable for high voltage, low voltage, and battery powered applications. The ISL28230FUZ is a member of the Intersil family of operational amplifiers, and is ideal for applications where performance is paramount, such as measuring manufacturing yield and repeatability. It is a dual MPXALA (low frequency) amplifier and is also available in a single-channel version.The working principle of the ISL28230FUZ is based on a differential amplifier topology with its input stages operating in the linear region. It includes two Input Amplifiers, an ALC Circuit, an Output Amplifier with its own Internal Decoupling, and a Control Logic Block.The input amplifier input stage contains three differential transistors, which are connected to the input (IN+/IN-) pins and to the ALC circuit. The ALC circuit sets the gain of the amplifier, and the Control Logic Block sets the mode of operation (Buffered, Unity Gain, or Gain Mode).The ALC circuit sets the gain of the operational amplifier by applying a predetermined amount of negative feedback to the input transistors. The ALC circuit also sets the common mode voltage of the amplifier and protects against power supply overshoots.Once the gain of the amplifier is set, the control logic block then controls the operation of the amplifier by supplying the appropriate control signals to the input stage.
