The ISL59112IEZ-EVALZ is an Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit. It is designed to provide a low-cost platform for testing and evaluating the performance of high performance linear digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that use a multi-bit cascaded architecture. It is also suitable for most low-voltage linear DACs.

The ISL59112IEZ-EVALZ board features a main board which houses a high speed 12 channel 14-bit differential output DAC. It comes with an optional laser cut metal enclosure to reduce noise interference from capacitive pick-up. A single track potentiometer is provided to adjust the output voltage range.

The ICU (Inter Chip Unit) test board allows users to evaluate the DAC performance across its full operational frequency range. The ICU test board also provides connective voltage and current measurements for the device under test. It also contains On-board trace length compensation for accurate data conversion measurements. The on-board programming of the ICU test board allows for testing of digital noise and distortion, which is essential in ADC system design.

The ISL59112IEZ-EVALZ kit is also bundled with an onboard DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to process and control the DAC over its full operating range. The processor contains an onboard USB-interface and has the ability to store DAC data directly in its EEPROM memory.The ISL59112IEZ-EVALZ also has an external RS-232 serial port to allow for external communication and debugging.
