The Intersil ISL6741IB-T is a switch-mode DC-DC step-down voltage regulator with integrated controller, MOSFETs and other leading-edge features.

Designed for use in high-current, high-voltage applications, the ISL6741IB-T provides up to 8A of continuous output current and up to 17V of output voltage. The integrated step-down controller includes adjustable current limit and programmable soft-start functions and a precision reference for improved accuracy and total circuit protection. Working Principle

The working principle behind the ISL6741IB-T switch-mode DC-DC step-down voltage regulator is to reduce the input voltage to a lower level.
