It integrates an advanced low-R DS(ON) power MOSFET process and an internal high efficiency pulse width modulation (PWM) control IC. The device features voltage mode control, constant frequency operation, pre-bias start-up and low output ripple.The ISL6844IB-T also offers external control of the output voltage. The output voltage control can be adjusted with a voltage divider or via a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The device has an internal slope compensation circuit that can be enabled or disabled via the PWM/Slope pin.The ISL6844IB-T offers a wide range of protection features, including voltage mode current limit, over temperature protection, and output over voltage protection. It also features a low EMI capability which enables the device to meet the EN55022 (CISPR22) Class A conducted and EN61000-3-2 harmonic emission limits.The ISL6844IB-T provides a simple solution for powering a wide range of applications such as computers, gaming consoles, industrial controllers, audio amplifiers and LED lighting systems.
