ISL8024IRTAJZ-T7A is a digital, low-voltage DC-DC step-down switching regulator in a compact 4.5mm x 5mm QFN-28 package, specifically designed for power-sensitive, space-constrained applications. The device integrates a terminally-configurable 40-85V input range and 3.3V to 10V output range, adjustable hysteretic current-mode architecture, on-the-fly dynamic voltage scaling, pin recognition and SPI programming, and external clock supports, enabling the product to optimize power and thermal performance for a wide range of application-specific requirements. The ISL8024IRTAJZ-T7A adopts a multi-mode architecture that blends constant frequency current-mode (CFCM) control with integrated hysteretic control. CFCM is used under heavy load conditions and hysteretic mode is used to provide additional efficiencies at light load conditions and power-good accuracy at no-load conditions. The hysteretic mode also helps to reduce EMI emissions, while offering a smooth transition in the loop response between light loads and heavy loads.The device incorporates a high-performance on-the-fly dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) feature that allows the user to adjust the output voltage without having to power down the system. The ISL8024IRTJZ-T7A also offers a range of pin-configurable features, enabling users to quickly configure the device according to their application-specific requirements, as well as a comprehensive safety protection framework and comprehensive on-chip protection features. The ISL8024IRTAJZ-T7A offers a configurable switching frequency up to 500kHz, enabling power stages with smaller external components. It also features precision reference for output voltage accuracy and a wide input voltage range of 40V to 85V, minimizing external components in the design. Working Principle of the ISL8024IRTAJZ-T7A:
The ISL8024IRTAJZ-T7A is a digitally controlled, low-voltage DC-DC step-down switching regulator, based on an adjustable hysteretic current-mode architecture. It uses a high-performance, wide duty-cycle modulator, to minimize output ripple and maximize efficiency over a wide range of loads. At the input, the device has an adjustable voltage range of 40V to 85V. This voltage range can be modified for specific application requirements. The switching frequency can be adjusted up to 500kHz and is suitable for use in small external components.The power stage uses an adjustable hysteretic current-mode architecture to ensure high-efficiency and low-noise operations across a wide range of loads. The device automatically transitions from constant frequency current-mode (CFCM) to hysteretic control at light load conditions.
