ISL8202MIRZ-T Working Principle

The dual-channel ISL8202MIRZ-T is mainly composed of a controller, two power switches, one inductor, and four external capacitors. It offers an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V with a maximum input current of 2A. To increase input-output isolation, an enabling pin (“EN”) is used to enable the power switch.

Under steady-state operation, the ISL8202MIRZ-T synchronizes the power switches to achieve a small output ripple voltage. At light load situations, the duty cycle of the power switches is adjusted to maintain a constant output voltage and current. The relationship between the input and output voltages and currents is determined using the Buck-Boost control functions.
