ISL85410FRZ-T is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) suited for a variety of applications, primarily as a DC/DC switching regulator. It is optimized for systems with wide input voltage ranges, from 0.8V to 100V. It can operate from an input voltage which is higher than, or equal to, the required output voltage. The ISL85410FRZ-T is capable of supplying 2A/4A of up to 30V at an output voltage as low as 0.8V.

The ISL85410FRZ-T uses a constant-frequency PWM current mode architecture with frequency dithering to minimize the transformer, inductors and capacitor size in the overall power solution. The integrated switching frequency can be switched between 1.2MHz, 1.8MHz and 2.4MHz through the PMIC control pins. It includes features to reduce external component count such as a soft-start function, spread spectrum and external compensation.

The ISL85410FRZ-T also includes advanced power management features to provide a high efficiency, low noise power solution. The PMIC includes an adjustable over-current protection, programmable or voltage-mode under-voltage lockout (UVLO) thresholds, a reverse current protection circuit, an over temperature protection and can drive an external n-channel MOSFET.

The ISL85410FRZ-T provides fast transient response, excellent line and load regulation over a wide operating temperature range. This makes it suitable for applications requiring different input and output conditions. The PMIC is available in the RoHS-compliant, thermally-enhanced, 16-lead TSSOP package.
