The ISL85415DEMO2Z is an evaluation board designed to evaluate Intersil\'s ISL85415 synchronous buck switching regulator, also known as a Step-Down regulator. This evaluation board comes in a compact half-through hole package with matching test points for easy connection. It’s target application field is mainly Point-of-Load (POL) regulation and switching power supplies.

This board and IC are also suitable for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS as well. The board has the capability to setup and evaluate the ISL85415 in multiple systems and configurations with various inductor and capacitor values.

Working principle

The ISL85415DEMO2Z evaluation board is designed to provide a high-efficiency solution for AC/DC and DC/DC SMPS with a variable input voltage range of up to 13V. The board features a 6.4V fixed output voltage, up to 2A of continuous and peak output current capability, and an 80% efficiency rating. The circuit design is based around the ISL85415 buck switching regulator.
