The ISL8560EVAL2Z by Intersil is an off-line converter evaluation board. It is designed to provide electrical engineers with the necessary components for designing and testing DC/DC and AC/DC switching power supplies. The board is comprised of two main components, a high-voltage isolated DC/DC converter module, and a low-voltage DC/DC converter module. The high-voltage module provides a regulated dc voltage to the low-voltage module which, in turn, supplies the two isolated outputs with different voltage and current levels.The ISL8560EVAL2Z board includes a controller and a voltage feedback loop that senses and regulates the output voltage of the DC/DC converter. The feedback loop measures the fluctuation in the output voltage when it is loaded and adjusts the internal voltage control to maintain the output voltage within a preset tolerance.
