The ISL91107IIA-EVZ Evaluation Board is an efficient off-line SMPS used in a range of applications. Pioneering in full active power factor correction, it covers a wide range of input and output voltages, from 2.5V to 450V DC and up to 120W of output power. This evaluation board is designed primarily for the purpose of evaluating ISL91107 and also for the applications which require simple continuous conduction 50Hz-230kHz low-frequency AC or medium-frequency DC-DC switching power supplies.
ISL91107IIA has been jointly developed by Intersil and Ziptronix, as part of Intersil’s Silent Switcher family. It is a fully-featured, offline, single-stage, high-efficiency, digital power system controller, combining two integrated high voltage power transistors, providing both current mode and voltage mode operation, and a Start/Stop input signal for enhanced input transient protection.
The ISL91107IIA-EVZ Evaluation Board includes all the features of the ISL91107 controller, such as a power factor correction circuit, an independent RA and RV voltage sense pins,UVLO protection, notch filter for EMI protection, internal soft start, line under-voltage protection, and onboard mechanical jumpers and headers.
The ISL91107IIA-EVZ also includes an integrated over-temperature circuit and an adjustable primary current limit. The maximum switching frequency can be adjusted with an external component, and the maximum switching frequency is governed by an internal clocking structure, allowing for a range of operation from low-frequency AC to medium-frequency DC-DC operation.
The ISL91107IIA-EVZ Evaluation Board supports a range of input voltages from 25V to 450V, and provides up to 15W of output power. It is an ideal solution for a wide range of off-line buck and flyback SMPS applications requiring high efficiency and low audible noise. The evaluation board offers users the ability to quickly design and evaluate a comprehensive range of DC-to-DC and AC-to-DC power supplies.
