The ISL94208IRZ is a highly integrated power management integrated circuit (PMIC) designed to optimize the battery charging and management of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The safety features of the ISL94208IRZ, such as its overload protection, complete isolation, and undervoltage lockout, make it a great choice for safety-critical applications.The ISL94208IRZ features several programmable function blocks and capabilities that can be configured to meet the specific needs of various battery managed applications. The ISL94208IRZ is ideal for a variety of battery managed applications such as automotive, smart energy, mobile and other portable device applications. The low quiescent current of the ISL94208IRZ also makes it an excellent choice for applications that require extended battery life and miniaturization.The ISL94208IRZ is an advanced integrated circuit that is specifically designed to manage and control the charging of lithium-ion (Li-Ion) rechargeable batteries. The ISL94208IRZ utilizes a highly programmable system design to accommodate various battery chemistries and charge/discharge conditions that are found in today’s mobile, automotive and medical applications. The ISL94208IRZ also incorporates safety features such as over voltage protection and undervoltage lockout to ensure that batteries are charged safely.The ISL94208IRZ works by regulating the flow of power from the input power source to the battery in order to ensure correct battery charging. The input power is typically from either a wall adapter, an automobile battery, or a USB port, while the output is connected to the battery terminals. The ISL94208IRZ is programmable to include a precharge and charge rates, which are adjustable to meet the particular charging requirements of the application.
