The JW050H1 features a current mode design with a wide input voltage range of 3.3-36V, and an adjustable output voltage range of 0.9-15V. It provides an efficiency up to 96% and is available in both surface mount and through-hole packages. The device works on the principle of an inductor-capacitor (LC) tank circuit. An input voltage is applied to a fixed switch, which controls an oscillatory current source. The current source is then filtered through an LC filter, which produces an output voltage. The output voltage depends on the frequency and amplitude of the current source, which can be adjusted through PWM and pulse-width modulation techniques. The JW050H1 also operates on a constant frequency, which is set via a control pin on the IC. This ensures that the device operates at a constant frequency, and that the ripple voltage is minimal. The JW050H1 is regulated to operate with maximum power up to 2A and 15W, providing an output voltage of 1.2V-5V. DC-DC converters are essential electronic components in most modern electronics.
