The reed-armature is fixed to the base of the glass tube, which is then sealed. An electromagnetic coil is wound onto the base of the tube and serves to move the reed-armatures and open or close the contacts.The field of application for JWD-171-21 reed relays is widely varied, making them very attractive in many designs. This includes applications in data-communications, networking, process-control systems, motor drives, computer peripheral interfaces, medical electronics, power-conversion systems, and more.
