The K847PH optoisolator is a Photovoltaic Output device which uses a photodiode to convert an incoming electrical signal into a digital output signal.

An optoisolator consists of a semiconductor LED mounted on a chip and surrounded by a hermetically sealed package which shields the LED from dust, air, and moisture.
