KLKD.300T Application Field and Working Principle

The KLKD.300T is a 300A fuse manufactured by KLKD Corp., and it is popularly used in industrial and commercial equipment for providing motor overload and short-circuit protection. This fuse is made of ceramic and is housed in a metal cartridge which conceals it from external damage. KLKD.300T Working Principle

When the current in the circuit suddenly increases, the first element, also known as the fusible element, immediately begins to heat up and melts when the current reaches the rated fuse current. The second element, known as the protective element, helps to reduce the current to levels safe for the circuit.

When the current levels are back to regular, the protective element cools down and a new fuse is automatically inserted. This secures the keep the circuit safe even in locations were the current can suddenly surge.
