Work Principle

When the electrical current through this fuse reaches its rated current value, the fuse wire melts open, interrupting the circuit and protecting the device. The fuses are designed for one time use and are not resettable. The principle of the fuse action is based on the heat generated from the large current flowing through the fuse filament wire. The heat generated by the current is converted to the gas pressure in the enclosed epoxy-filled case. This pressure builds up and forces the diaphragm to move away from the end of the element and open the internal switch contacts, which prevents the current from flowing.

The KLKD009.H are designed to be mounted directly into a panel or in an equipment cabinet, and can provide superior performance and a long service life.
