KLSR150.X Application Field and Working Principle

Many electronics devices, such as industrial machinery, commercial buildings, medical equipment, automobiles, and home appliances, require a certain level of electric current power for their operations. To ensure safety and prevent any unforeseen damage to delicate components, a fuse is used to limit the flow of current. The KLSR150.X fuse is a specialty fuse designed to protect sensitive equipment from excessive current.

The KLSR150.X fuse is typically used in mounting frames with a pitch of 6.3mm or 10.2mm, and supports up to 1500V AC or 250V DC voltage. It is a self-contained, sealed device, using current limiting technology to protect electronics from potential over-current and over-voltage situations. It is a type of single mode fuse, meaning that when the unit is installed, it is the only current flow that can be supported. This feature provides extra safety, since the fuse will quickly react in the event of an overload.

The fuse includes a sensing element and a metallic link. The sensing element, made of a copper alloy, is designed to carry the fault current, while the metallic link is made of a high-temperature metal and provides an instantaneous response to electrical overloads, preventing them from reaching damaging levels. The sensing element also detects the fault current and, when the current reaches a predetermined value, the sensing element will be heated and melting the metallic link.

The KLSR150.X specialty fuse is designed to handle current up to 150A, with settings available for current ratings up to 250A and 500A. It also has a fast-acting time delay, with a minimum of 2 seconds and a maximum of 10 seconds. This provides reliability and effective protection from electrical overloads while ensuring that equipment will not be disconnected abruptly.

The KLSR150.X fuse is well-suited for applications in electrical power engineering, such as DC power supplies, solar energy systems, and AC circuits. It can also be used in industrial systems, medical equipment, automotive electronics, telecommunication networks, and commercial buildings.
