KX2013D0032.768000 Application Field and Working Principle
KX2013D0032.768000, or more commonly referred to as KX2003, is an oscillator extensively used in a variety of industrial and telecommunication applications because of its reliable performance and consistency. It is a piezoelectric oscillator that utilizes quartz crystal elements which convert electrical energy into mechanical vibrations at specific frequencies. It operates on the majority of the available clock oscillator frequencies from 1 Hz to 1000Hz in a range from 0.5 to 24 MHz.KX2003 has the characteristic of a low power consumption, small package size, and low EMI and RFI radiation which makes it ideal for applications that require high frequency stability, such as frequency synthesizers, frequency synthesizer transceivers, microwave instruments, and optical communication systems. Its insensitivity towards power supply fluctuations, temperature changes, and vibration make it reliable over long time periods and demanding environments. It is also well suited for clock/timers, general test and measurement equipment, digital cellular telecommunication equipment, and other applications that require precise control of a high-frequency signal. The KX2003 oscillator functions on the basis of the principle of the piezoelectric effect. The device consists of a quartz crystal resonator which is suspended between two electrodes, and between two metallic cases. The resonator is given an alternating voltage, known as the excitation voltage, by an external oscillator circuit. The resonator alternately compresses and expands, inducing a vibration at its own natural frequency, due to the piezoelectric effect. This vibration determines the frequency of oscillation and the output of the device. The quartz crystal is precisely cut in a way that it vibrates at a very specific frequency. It consists of aluminum electrodes and is soldered on a copper holder. The electrodes are at the boundaries of the quartz crystal where the voltage is applied. This is done by an external oscillator circuit, which in this case is a voltage-controlled oscillator. The electrical field created between the electrodes causes the crystal to vibrate and generate a frequency of oscillation. There are several types of quarts crystal resonators used in the KX2003 such as AT cut, SC cut, and ME cut. Each type has specific characteristics that make it suitable for applications such as telecommunications, and instruments calibration. Due to the fact that quartz crystals offer high accuracy, for instrument calibration in areas such as telecommunications and automated testing, the KX2003 oscillator is usually more accurate than other types of frequency references. The KX2003 is also equipped with other features such as extended temperature ranges, as well as specific impedance levels, which make the device suitable for various applications. Furthermore, the KX2003 is also widely used for synchronization purposes, especially in switches and routers.Overall, the KX2003 oscillator is a reliable and effective device that is widely used in a variety of applications, ranging from telecommunications to instrument calibration. Its features such as high-precision frequency stability, low power consumption, and low EMI and RFI make it an excellent choice for a wide variety of applications that require a high level of accuracy and reliability. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
