Chassis Mount Resistors are a family of resistors designed to be mounted to a bulkhead or metal enclosure. They typically have high current and power ratings, making them suitable for applications requiring more heat dissipation than ordinary through-hole or surface-mount resistors can provide. The L25J4K0 is a recently released series of these resistors from Vishay Semiconductors.

The L25J4K0 series resistors offer a broad range of ratings, from 0.25W, up to 25W continuously. The maximum temperature rise of 75°C is also above average compared to other series of chassis mount resistors. For many applications, this series provides very good thermal behavior, with a low profile of only 9mm, allowing more space for other components.
