Working Principle
The L5954 is a linear regulator, so it works based on the difference between the input and output voltages. The device features an internal pass element, which is a transistor whose channel is controlled by the error amplifier. The latter compares the voltage reference output from the internal regulator with the output feedback voltage, generating an error signal whenever there is a difference between them. This error signal is then used to control the pass element and decrease the difference between the output and the reference voltages.
