The L5963D-EHX application field and working principle is a type of PMIC (power management integrated circuit) and Voltage Regulators. It’s a kind of Linear + Switching, which controls the load current and output voltage to power the system with supreme stability. The L5963D-EHX is a power management integrated circuit using an on-chip direct-drive capacitive MOSFET. It is mainly used for high input voltage step-down DC-DC conversion and LED driving applications. It supports up to 6 A peak current path and can drive up to 4 LEDs efficiently. It has an adjustable output voltage for different system configurations. The L5963D-EHX working principle is based on constant frequency current-modulated PWM control. The L5963D-EHX can be also protected from over temperature and over current. It includes a thermal shutdown circuit to protect the system if the temperature exceeds 150°C. It also includes over-current protection and under-voltage protection to prevent damage to the system from over-current or under-volting.
