Working Principle

The working principle of L6R90D-120-C14 series AC DC Desktop, Wall Adapters is based on conversion of alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). The series feature a number of components, such as AC mains filters, rectifiers, EMI filters, Output Voltage regulation circuits, thermal management components, and surge protection. To begin with, when the AC power is supplied to the Adapter, it is passed through the AC mains filter to reduce any interference or disturbances, and it is then rectified using the rectifier. This rectified voltage which is in the form of a pulsating DC voltage is passed through the EMI filter which acts as an electromagnetic interference filter, and a surge protection component is used to protect the adapter from high voltage surges.

After passing through surge protection, the rectified AC voltage is fed to the output voltage regulation circuit to regulate the output voltage. This output voltage is then delivered to the related device as regulated DC voltage. Moreover, thermal management components are used to ensure that the output voltage remains constant despite temperature variations.
